We are delighted to welcome Steve Parkinson to Cambridgeshire to deliver the courses below. Steve was a Town Clerk for 14 years and has 15 years public sector experience prior to that. A Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians since 1996, Steve is widely recognised for his knowledge of local council finance and VAT.

Finance for Clerks and RFOs (full day 10am until 3 or 4pm) Cost £75

Recommended for: Officers that have financial matters as part of their role, or that have an interest in finance.

Session overview: This session is designed to give practitioners a greater understanding of their duties with regard to the council’s finances, with practical exercises to help you understand. Topics include:

Clerks: The Knowledge Thursday 12th and Thursday 19th July

This two day course will be held on Thursday 12th and Thursday 19th July 2018 from 10.00 am - 3pm at Lakeside Lodge, Pidley, Cambridgeshire. PE28 3DF.

Your ticket is valid for both days. Registration is from 9.30am.

The course covers the essential information to allow new clerks as well as those who have been in post for a short while, to find their way around the legislation, processes and procedures of town and parish councils.
